About Our Organization

While the overall college attainment rate for American students is approximately 33%, only about 15% of Alaska Native students ever achieve a college degree. We work exclusively with those students to improve both college-going and college graduation rates among registered tribal members, and we concentrate our efforts on universities that offer significant financial support to Alaska Natives.

More

Cultural Connection

ANYEF nurtures cultural connections for Alaska Native youth in order to preserve their heritage and foster a sense of identity. Programs that integrate cultural education with academic support help bridge the gap between modern life and ancestral traditions.

College Admissions

At the core of our program is a college admissions service in which we guide Native students through university selection and the application process.

Financial Support

We focus on colleges and universities that offer significant financial support for Alaska Native students, and we advocate for other schools to support Native populations.

OUR STUDENTS

We focus on college attainment.

Founded by enrolled members of the Tangirnaq Tribe, ANYEF works with students from any of the more than 200 federally recognized Alaska Native tribes. Our goal is to help those students gain admission to college and secure educational benefits reserved specifically for them.
